Bell’s smartphone line-up received a huge shot in the arm today, as the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G went on sale. A true beast of “superphone”, the Galaxy S II’s specs include a 4.3″ qHD Super AMOLED Plus display, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video capture, 1.2GHz dual-core Exynos processor and 1GB of RAM. We’vereceived several tips that line-ups have formed at several Bell dealerships across the country, so if you’re planning on getting the best Android smartphone to date on launch day, you might want to let your boss know you’ll be running a few minutes behind.

HTC Desire Z exclusively hitting Bell late November?

    By Ray Nicolini

A couple weeks back we showed you an inventory screenshot of the “HTC Desire Z Leather Case” that’s apparently going to retail for $32.99. This was a good sign as when HTC announced the device they only stated that it’ll be “shipping in North America later this year.”
We’ve been tipped several times since then and it looks like the Desire Z (also known as the HTC Vision) will be heading exclusively to Bell, with a launch date penciled in for the late November time frame. There is still no exact date yet or price points for this upcoming Android-powered device, but it would be a great addition for the upcoming holiday season.
Specs of the Desire Z have it coming with a 3.7-inch display (resolution of 480 x 800), a “pop hinge” that reveals the full QWERTY keyboard, OS 2.2 (Froyo) with HTC Sense, 800MHz Qualcomm 7230 processor, 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, flash and can record 720p HD videos and WiFi.
    More soon!
    (Thanks tipsters!)
