A new cross-platform app called eBuddy XMS has just been released for BlackBerry users. eBuddy XMS is similar to Kik, LiveProfile, and the many others. Although, eBuddy XMS integrates with Facebook to find your friends who may also be using the service.
The creators believe XMS will be the next landmark in the cross-platform mobile messaging landscape for the following reasons:
- eBuddy is a pioneer in the mobile messaging landscape, with its instant messaging apps having seen more than 100 million unique downloads to date
- eBuddy has the experience and know how to deliver a reliable messaging service, exemplified by the more than 17 billion messages it processes every month
- Since its launch (late May), eBuddy XMS has seen a great reception, currently being in the top 20 in 27 countries (social networking category – iOS)
- eBuddy has also developed Web XMS, an exclusive web-based companion app that allows you to manage all your XMS messages through the comfort of your computer.
eBuddy XMS is not yet available in BlackBerry App World, but can be downloaded by visiting www.ebuddyxms.com from your BlackBerry.

The new updates turned this client into garbage. Every message I get comes in double. App hangs and disconnects every 5 min.
